Southern Oregon has so much to offer!
I looked at the weather report friday afternoon. Sunny and blue skys. Then a week or two of rain. With gas prices now below $2 a gallon, it was time to travel. So I checked weather around the Rogue Valley and decided on the Oregon Coast. So glad I did. With a relaxing and beautiful drive on 199 taking me through the Redwood Forest, where I stopped to stretch my legs and enjoy the beautiful Smith River, in a under 2 hours of driving time I was in Brookings. There I discovered one of the lowest tides I have seen at Harris Beach. I sat and ate a picnic lunch, and then went exploring. Found star fish, an octopus, and many other sea creatures along with sea life attached to the rocks along with star fish. I photographed the sunset and then enjoyed an easy paced trip. What a blessing it is to live in such a beautiful place! I can see why more and more people want to move here. Below are some of the photos I took while at the coast.
